A lantern can light a dark passage or become a thrown firebomb; enemies can be manipulated into attacking each other; barriers can be destroyed, bypassed, or navigated around with the right mobility option. Runs steadily broaden through unlocked starting equipment and shortcuts, letting you experiment with safer defensive loadouts, risky speed-focused builds, or strange combinations built around environmental manipulation.

What separates it from many action roguelites is its emphasis on systemic problem-solving inside a platformer framework. The game has more in common with Spelunky’s emergent disasters and Noita’s experimentation than with a pure combat gauntlet, although its deliberate tactical options make it more approachable than either at times. Handcrafted-looking pixel environments, expressive animation, varied level themes, and an atmospheric score prevent the procedural design from feeling visually anonymous.
