Game Overview
A battered airship becomes both your weapon and your lifeline in a hostile world hidden beneath endless cloud cover. Cloudbreaker blends the constant pressure of a survivors-like bullet heaven with the build-planning satisfaction of an inventory puzzler, sending you through dangerous sky islands, abandoned ruins, and increasingly lethal cloud layers. Biotes—rogue remnants of old biotech experiments—swarm from every direction, while bosses guard the route toward deeper, more rewarding regions. The mood is colorful but tense: every descent promises useful scrap and relics, yet a poorly prepared ship can be overwhelmed in seconds.
Combat centers on surviving dense enemy waves while gathering resources and choosing upgrades that reshape your run. Fallen enemies provide Bloil, which converts into Engine Parts that fit into an Engine Grid aboard your vessel; rather than simply picking the highest-stat item, you must consider shape, placement, adjacency effects, and combinations with other parts. Weapons follow their own upgrade paths as well, letting familiar tools evolve into very different forms and encouraging experimentation between runs. Aggressive play matters because the Overcharge healing system rewards staying on the offensive, while elite foes, bosses, and escalating hazards demand movement, target priority, and a build that can actually keep up.
The Engine Grid is the standout feature, giving Cloudbreaker more deliberate theorycrafting than many auto-attacking horde survival games. Unlockable airships change the formula further, since each comes with a different grid layout, special abilities, and progression tree that supports distinct strategies instead of minor stat variations. Relics, missions, difficulty modifiers, and an Endless Mode give repeat runs meaningful variety, whether you want to chase a stable build or stress-test a wildly synergistic setup. Players who enjoy Vampire Survivors-style pressure but want more control over their loadout should find plenty to dig into, while inventory-management veterans will appreciate a combat game that makes every slot matter.

Setup Guide & Troubleshooting
How do I fix missing DLL errors for Cloudbreaker?
After extracting Cloudbreaker, navigate to the _Redist or _CommonRedist folder inside the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and any other dependencies included.
What should I do if the downloaded file is corrupted?
The full archive is 193.00 MB — make sure your download completed fully before extracting. Use 7-Zip to extract the files. If you still see a "file corrupted" error, re-download and try again.
Do I need to run the game as administrator?
Usually, no. Start the game normally from the extracted folder. If you see a permissions or save error, check that the folder is writable and follow the game's documented fix. Only grant administrator access when a trusted game's specific setup requires it.
How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?
The game won't launch — what should I try?
Check that extraction completed and your PC meets the system requirements. Note any error message before choosing a fix. If it identifies a missing runtime, install the required DirectX components or Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft.
My antivirus is blocking the game — is it safe?
A warning needs to be investigated; the download source alone cannot confirm that a file is safe. Keep your security software enabled and review the detection details. Do not run or restore a flagged file unless you have verified that it is a false positive. If you are unsure, leave it quarantined.
