Game Overview

A delivery shift becomes a desperate extraction job in this pixel-art zombie shooter set after society’s immortality technology turns the dead into an endless urban threat. ConEX places you in 2068, where the H1 Chip keeps bodies functioning even after death and the few remaining workers are sent into infected districts to keep essential logistics alive. Every assignment has a blunt objective: carry a package to its assigned locker, survive the return trip to the van, and leave with your pay. The mood is grim, bloody, and darkly funny, turning ordinary city streets into a corporate-funded meat grinder.

Runs take place across tightly constructed streets, alleys, barricades, and building entrances where massive hordes pour through natural chokepoints rather than appearing from nowhere. You shoot, kite, reposition, and exploit the map’s layout while trying to prevent the infected from surrounding you on the way to the delivery point or extraction vehicle. Kills supply experience, and each level grants a choice between three upgrades drawn from a larger pool, with five ranks per upgrade allowing builds to snowball from a basic sidearm into overwhelming crowd-clearing firepower. Successful jobs provide cash for permanent equipment improvements between shifts, including replacing the issued pistol with more serious hardware, while death before extraction wipes out the run’s earnings.

The standout feature is scale: ConEX aims to keep enormous crowds of individually animated zombies moving smoothly while preserving a handcrafted, diorama-like street design. Its gore is deliberately excessive, with enemies bursting and breaking apart under sustained fire, yet the fluid pixel animation gives the carnage an unusually polished look. The structure should appeal to players who enjoy the escalating build choices of Vampire Survivors but want clearer missions, meaningful extraction stakes, and more deliberate route management. Fans of top-down horde shooters and repeatable roguelite runs will find a focused, demanding arcade experience here, while newcomers can learn quickly but still need smart movement to survive.

Setup Guide & Troubleshooting

How do I fix missing DLL errors for ConEX?

After extracting ConEX, navigate to the _Redist or _CommonRedist folder inside the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and any other dependencies included.

What should I do if the downloaded file is corrupted?

The full archive is 477.97 MB — make sure your download completed fully before extracting. Use 7-Zip to extract the files. If you still see a "file corrupted" error, re-download and try again.

Do I need to run the game as administrator?

Usually, no. Start the game normally from the extracted folder. If you see a permissions or save error, check that the folder is writable and follow the game's documented fix. Only grant administrator access when a trusted game's specific setup requires it.

How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?

ConEX requires a GeForce GTX 750 Ti, Radeon R7 360 or equivalent. Update your NVIDIA or AMD drivers to the latest version for the best performance.

The game won't launch — what should I try?

Check that extraction completed and your PC meets the system requirements. Note any error message before choosing a fix. If it identifies a missing runtime, install the required DirectX components or Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft.

My antivirus is blocking the game — is it safe?

A warning needs to be investigated; the download source alone cannot confirm that a file is safe. Keep your security software enabled and review the detection details. Do not run or restore a flagged file unless you have verified that it is a false positive. If you are unsure, leave it quarantined.
