Beneath an ordinary patch of ground lies a playful puzzle adventure built around digging, manipulating objects, and treating a small worm’s body as its most useful tool. WOIM keeps its tone bright and curious even when its rooms become demanding, sending players downward through a strange underground ecosystem packed with apples, eggs, stones, locked paths, and concealed surprises. The central idea is simple enough to grasp immediately: reach the exit, collect what matters, and work out how the creatures and contraptions in each chamber fit together. Its charm comes from how often a familiar object gains an unexpected use once the puzzle’s full layout becomes clear.

Each level asks players to shift rocks, consume soil to carve routes, transport fragile eggs, activate floor switches, and open doors in the right sequence. The worm can be snipped into separate pieces, turning one character into two independently useful bodies; one half might hold down a button while the other pushes a boulder or retrieves an item. Puzzles steadily introduce combinations of these rules instead of relying on reflexes, so progress depends on careful observation, planning several moves ahead, and occasionally recognizing that an earlier assumption is wrong. Four themed worlds contain more than fifty hand-built challenges, while optional secrets encourage checking corners and revisiting mechanics that initially seem straightforward.

WOIM stands out because its body-splitting mechanic is not merely a gimmick but the foundation for its best spatial problems. Its compact screens and readable object interactions give it some of the satisfying clarity of Sokoban-style puzzlers, while the ability to dig and reshape routes makes solutions feel more flexible than simply shoving crates around. Hats, hidden collectibles, and small environmental details lend personality without interrupting the puzzle focus.
